Strengthening Indigenous Food Sovereignty Together
2024 NAFSA Impact Report

Indigenous food systems are more than just sustenance—they are healing, identity, and resistance. In 2024, the Native American Food Sovereignty Alliance (NAFSA) empowered Indigenous farmers, seed keepers, and communities by distributing over $287,000 in grants and stipends to support seed sovereignty, traditional foodways, and sustainable agriculture.
We honored tribal self-determination, strengthened intertribal trade networks, and advocated for Indigenous-led food policy. From microgrants to mentorship programs, NAFSA ensured that Indigenous communities remained at the heart of decision-making and resource distribution.
